Find scholarships in your town or county

OpenList cannot list every local award. Search community foundations and groups that set area, school, or eligibility rules.

01

Start close to home

  1. Ask your school counselor about town, county, and school foundation awards.
  2. Look at community foundations, local service groups, employers, credit unions, and nonprofit organizations. Many set rules for where applicants live or attend school.
02

Search by place and eligibility

  1. Search your town, county, and state with phrases such as high school scholarship, community foundation, and local scholarship.
  2. Add the high school, field of study, grade, or other eligibility details that apply to you.
03

Check the official rules

  1. Confirm who may apply, the current deadline, award amount, renewal rules, and where the award can be used.
  2. Apply through the organization’s official site or school office. Be cautious if a scholarship charges an application fee.
