What “verified” means on OpenList.

Verification means a reviewer checked the recorded claim against cited official information for the stated cycle. It does not guarantee that a program has not changed since.

Source standard

Official program, university, government, and organization pages are the default source of truth. We may discover a program through another directory, but we check the details against official information. Read the full source policy.

Unknowns

If official information is absent or ambiguous, we mark it “Not verified.” Unknown never means No.

Publication

We review listings before making them public. Unfinished research is not shown as a verified opportunity.

Cycle and staleness

We keep past opportunities for reference. Previous-cycle information is labeled, and past-cycle notices tell students to confirm the current deadline and terms.

Corrections

Use the contact form to report a discrepancy with an official source link. OpenList reviews corrections before changing a public record.
